EVOLUTION is a live audiovisual experience created by FUSS! In 2009.
Being 2009 the international year of astronomy and the bicentenary of Charles Darwin’s birth FUSS! developed a session covering several audiovisual atmospheres related to the Big Bang, the theory of evolution and questions arising from there like – are we really moving forward or rather withering towards what we once were – apes, dust?
The end of an era? A new Big Bang?
EVOLUTION is a a continuous and evolving audiovisual live session, starting and ending in the same state and consisting of 8 parts or ambients.
Audiovisual compositions are being generated using Ambientador (an audiovisual sequencer developped by FUSS!)
as well as other electronic instruments. The sequence is created progressively in real time. Audio and video are produced simultaneously. Every sound has it`s visual and vice versa. The compositions comprehending animations, sounds, noise, voices, illustrations, images, 3D graphics and video, summerge the spectator into different audiovisual environments, ambient or atmospheres evoking diverse sensations and feelings along a conceptual progression.
The public has the opportunity to follow each step of the composition process due to the Ambientador interface being projected during the session.
Fuss! (Ambientador – Madrid / Berlín)
FUSS! is a collective resident in Madrid and Berlin which develops sensorial communication events. It was founded 2004 by Raúl Marco, Timo Daum and Guillermo López. Using "Ambientador" - an audiovisual self-created tool we perform audiovisual sessions in different formats. Ambientador is an ambient generator, a machine for the creation and display of real time audiovisual compositions. Ambientador can be used as an instrument but it is also able to create independent automatic compositions.
Ambientador has been developed for the research of audiovisual environments.
